Each year, the Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo makes its return to the Edmonton Expo Centre. Each year, it brings together thousands of attendees to geek out over pop culture. Whether you have an interest in anime, sci-fi, video games, space operas – you name it, the Expo has something to offer everyone. This year was no different.

Throughout the weekend, attendees had the opportunities to cosplay, meet guests, sit in on panels, peruse the vendor halls, play video games and laser tag, take part in photoshoots, and even attend a live concert where Gene Simmons performed a set with his band!

NaijaRepublic was there chatting it up with vendors and visitors to the event. If you haven’t, check out our video of the event above.

Other guests in attendance at this year’s convention included fellow Whovian, Alex Kingston, Stranger Things duo – Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo, the original Captain Kirk – William Shatner, and Daredevil himself – Charlie Cox.

If you missed out on this year’s festivities at the Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo, there are mini-conventions and fairs between now and the next Expo, which will be hosted in Calgary, Alberta, at the Stampede Grounds at the end of April.

Until then, keep on geeking on!
